Star Entertainment Suspended From Trading as Time Runs Out on Rescue Package
Star Entertainment Group Ltd. shares were suspended from trading Monday as the struggling Australian casino operator tries to arrange a last-ditch funding package and stave off collapse.
Star said Friday it expected to receive at least one offer to keep the company afloat. Without a rescue package, it’s been unable to sign off and lodge its financial reports for the December half by the Feb. 28 deadline, putting it in breach of Australian listing rules.
