The Trump administration is sanctioning six Chinese and Hong Kong officials, including the city’s justice secretary and police commissioner, in the latest steps to target authorities implementing Beijing’s hard-line policies.

The US is sanctioning Justice Secretary Paul Lam and Hong Kong Police Commissioner Raymond Siu, as well as other senior officials, over the China-imposed national security law in the city and for “transnational repression” targeting individuals in the US, the State Department said Monday.
