London Gatwick Seeks Faster Approval of Plan to Build New Runway

London Gatwick Airport is seeking expedited approval for its plan to open a second runway after accepting key conditions set by UK officials for its expansion bid.
The airport south of London is asking the government to make its final decision on the application ahead of the Oct. 27 due date, Gatwick Chief Executive Officer Stewart Wingate said in an interview.
