Ryanair Weighs Canceling Boeing Orders If Trump Tariffs Hit Cost
Ryanair Holdings Plc would consider canceling its 330 Boeing Co. aircraft orders and shift to alternate planemakers if tariffs significantly affect the price of the planes, the Irish airline’s chief executive officer, Michael O’Leary told a senior US lawmaker.
O’Leary wrote the letter in response to a warning from US Representative Raja Krishnamoorthi, a Democrat from Illinois, who told Ryanair that US and European airlines shouldn’t purchase aircraft from Chinese planemaker Comac for security reasons.
