Wheat Rises to 1-Week High as Demand Outweighs Big Russian Crop

Wheat jumped to the highest in a week as fresh signs of demand outweighed forecasts for a big crop in Russia, the world’s largest exporter.

Futures rose as much as 1.8% as countries including EgyptBloomberg Terminal, JordanBloomberg Terminal and SyriaBloomberg Terminal step up purchases. Prices fell during the previous two trading sessions as analysts including SovEconBloomberg Terminal and IKARBloomberg Terminal raised their outlooks for the crop in Russia.
