Fed’s Cook Should Go on Leave While Case Plays Out, Hassett Says

President Donald Trump’s top economic adviser said that Lisa Cook should go on leave while her status on the Federal Reserve Board of Governors is being litigated.

“If I were her, in her circumstance, I would take leave right now,” Kevin Hassett, director of the National Economic Council, told reporters on Wednesday, adding he believed it was the “honorable thing to do.”
